Harbottle & Jonas

Harbottle & Jonas are a stunning young folk duo based in Totnes, Devon. Their music is eclectic and always accompanied with a great story.

Silvington

Formed in 2016 by two established performers, both members of Folk on the Moor at Lee Mill near Ivybridge, Silvington are purveyors of both traditional and contemporary songs.

Cool Beanz

4 local musicans who got together at an open mic night performing a mix of their own songs and covers. A blend of cool, chilled acoustic folk, funk, reggae & rock.

The Orchard Family

The Orchards are one of the best known Gypsy families in the West Country. They play, sing and stepdance in a style which is true to their Gypsy roots. 

Old Gaffers

Old Gaffers – a shanty crew, based in the South Hams of Devon. Most members have some association with the sea and have been singing traditional songs for many years!

Silvington

Rumpus

An upbeat ceilidh dance band, based in the beautiful South Hams of Devon, in existence, on and off, since 1982 and known for their lively jigs and reels, rousing polkas, bouncy hornpipes, waltzes and airs.

Rhillig

Formerly Fiddlers on the Green; this folk/acoustic duo featuring Phil and Mahrey Berthoud on fiddles, guitars, vocals, bodhran and mandolin relish in traditional and original songs and foot-tapping tunes.

Patrick Barton

Patrick’s beautifully inspired Jazz and Spanish inspired guitar music will bring a melodic and tranquil feel to the showcased music on the deck.

Monstrously Musical

Highly accomplished American old time performers: Mark (fiddle, vocals) and George (guitar, vocals). Sometime known as Valerie Vale & the Aylesbury Aylevators – a name to conjure with!

Phil Kennerell

A regular, accomplished and popular performer at the winter Crabshell Concerts. Phil’s been playing folk music since the early 60’s in several folk clubs in the Stoke area before coming to Devon in 1983.

Paul & Adrian

Paul and Adrian lay claim to filling three quarters of Frogmore Village Hall once. And are also renowned for their West Country Tours which always seem to end up on the Isles of Scilly. Crabstock is a homecoming for this popular pair.

Paul Reid

Paul started singing in folk clubs at the age of eighteen, and his musical adventures have seen him in Cyprus, Southport, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and now, here in Kingsbridge with songs from his latest album – The Bonny Broom.

Janet & John

These two pop up everywhere. Apart from performing as a duo, in their own right, this talented twosome will sometimes be found in Desperate Jan and the Pieboys and Folk on the Rock. You might even spot them in the Classic Ceildidh Band!

Gollywhoppers

North American crane flies – or our Daddy Long Legs to be precise. And these are two very accomplished old-time artistes have made many appearances at Crabshell concerts and Crabfest (Salcombe) over the years.

Folk On The Rock

A motley crew who adopt numerous guises – see if you can spot them moving between bands on the day Folk on the Rock, or Rocks, as the unkind refer to them…

Dandy Jim

Traditional fiddle, banjo music and song from The Appalachian Mountains of the American south-east. Dandy Jim play authentic hillbilly mountain music from Virginia and North Carolina – a must see act!
